Galloway Football Fair

Not feeling as well as i should have,I had to abandon my Wigtownshire Ramblers walk at the weekend.

But what was literally a short walk out my back door,was the Galloway Football Fair.
On Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of May 2008 the 7th annual Galloway Football Fair was held at Blairmount Park Newton Stewart.The Fair is organised by the Galloway Thistle Youth Football club.The teams ages range from 7yo to 12 yo and play against each other in the same age group.All paticipants receive trophies.
Teams from all over south west scotland take part,and this year a team came all the way down from Oban to participate.
I wasn't up to staying all day on Saturday,hence more pictures taken on Sunday.

These are Galloway Thistles' 9 year olds.
