Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park
The last day of my family visiting over the Easter weekend saw us call at the Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park. Galloway Wildlife
Below are a few of the wonderful animals we saw.Check out the Meercat video.
We were there with the kids some years ago (it not being too far away) and had a wee feel of the snake too - I couldn't believe how smooth it was. I see they've got both lynxs - one escaped for several days a few years ago.
I think you have to be lucky on some visits Sandy. The Oriental Otters probably came out later, but decided to stay indoors while we were there. One wolf showed, but we could hear the others in their den,and since the baby red pandas have gone on to France and the Netherlands the remaining two were quite quiet. The snake was shedding his skin on Sunday.
Jim, its been awhile since I've been at a wildlife park! I always enjoy the big cats, bears, even cute little critters too! Great pics! Thanks for sharing your day! Michael
It's always a good day out Michael. When they get their new website up,they'll be featuring a couple of my previous video's so that's a compliment.
Tammie, most of these aren't native to us either. The latest addition is a rescued Amur cat that someone was trying to bring into the country illegally. It's under threat by habitat loss and persecution for their fur.

you saw some amazing animals, ones that we do not have, I loved seeing them. Looks like you had a good time.
