The Galloway Cog

HOORAY !
I photographed the elusive Galloway Cog. I'd heard a lot about this cross and that the first day of April was the best day to view it, so I got up early and headed through the woods. What an amazing sight greeted me.

  5. Hi Rose, looking at some of the creatures in Australia I don't think a Galloway Cog would look out of place in Queensland.

I knew you'd look Gordon, and why wouldn't you. Had it been me I'd have looked out of curiosity anyway.

And whoever said the Finns hadn't a sense of humour, haven't met Maria.............come to think of it, neither have I.

I can't believe my only visitor from Australia today was you Rose, I guess you're the two.

  6. You're right Jim, your cog would NOT look out of place in these parts, in fact he'd fit right in!
Good Lord, this is s.c.a.r.y. you can even tell how often I stalk you! ;)

  7. Hi Rose, my relatives down in Australia and New Zealand tell me they keep up with my blog activities. Perhaps they've been too busy this weekend or only keep up periodically. I don't generally look at my geographic visitors graph but wondered about this one. You can find out where your visitors are from on your 'stats' page.

  9. Hi Jim.
I was more interested in reading the full history of 'the hill' when I clicked on the picture I'm afraid. Fascinating account of how tough it was back then.
Just watched the complete back to back 'Tilly Trotter' saga the other day on TV. Think I'm becoming a Catherine Cookson admirer. Help!

  10. Hi Lynn and Bob, Noel Edmonds used to do the Gotcha Oscars until he fell foul of the film industry. I might start a series similar to this and call it Jim's Japes. Anyone being caught out would then be deemed to have been Jimcracked (Huckleberry Finn)
