  1. That was a wonderful outing Jim, and I'm impressed with the park's Mission Statement too. Your taste in musical accompaniment for the vid is excellent :)

    1. Hi Rose, it's a great place to visit. I just wish some local contractor would contribute to improving the road in, It's a mess.
C'mon Dumfries and Galloway Council, instead of dumping excess tarmac on forest roads get it up to the road into the Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park.

    1. Hi Tammie, there were quite a few resident creatures I didn't photograph, many were having their afternoon nap.
All descriptions of the Maned Wolf do mention it's fox like appearance. It's a South American animal. and under threat I believe.

  4. Hi Jim, ha you must have been there the day before us. I took wee Freya on Saturday, she loved it! I was especially pleased to get a good glimpse of the otters having never seen them there before. Did you see the bunch of meercats roaming about free, so funny. But oh that road, such a shame it almost put me off going down it.

    1. Hi Ruthie, it's one of my and my grandchildren's favourite places in the whole of Dumfries and Galloway. Aren't those otters such lovable creatures. Another being fawned over by the visitors was the wee Corsac Fox, one little girl wanted to take it home.

I think the road will have to be repaired soon otherwise they'll be receiving bills for car repairs.

  5. A fine collection of animals. Anytime there is anything wrong with you Jim you seem to take great delight in going out. Personally, I like to moan a lot, eat crisps, stay in and watch dodgy daytime telly when I'm ill. That way I can really enjoy being poorly in the comfort of my own home.

    1. Hi Bob, getting out takes my mind off whatever's bothering me. The trip to the wildlife park was the day after I had my teeth out, it was all downhill after that !
