A short walk along the Penkiln

Thursday the 9th of September 2010.
I keep looking along here because in my opinion the Penkiln and the Palnure burns can be magical.
I'm hoping to fashion a walk for the ramblers in the near future.
Auchinleck always makes a good picture no matter the weather.

I'm not sure what this is or was ?
I think there must have been a settlement here at one time, though there's nothing on the map.
It's close to Lady's Linn Waterfall....

...which happens to be a very nice waterfall....

...have a listen.

A slug on a toadstool and a hole through the trunk of a tree haven't a lot in common except they both made unusual pictures.

Count the flies...I'll be a little more wary of eating brambles from now on.

There's still plenty of colour around.

Gorgeous !
