Friends from England are up for a few days.
The following pictures are from a few of the places we visited.
A windy day at Corsewall.
Not the brightest of days at Portpatrick, but the tea break was welcome.
A couple of characters at the Smugglers Cove.
It's the Portpatrick Folk Festival this weekend. Here's a short clip from the Saturday afternoon session in the village hall.
I might try to get more footage next year.
Over in Stranraer, the ferry pulled out and the food was good.
I'm in Creetown early enough on Sunday morning to take a short walk into Balloch Woods. The morning dew caught the plant life beautifully.
The Whinnie Face project and the incoming tide.
Something strange going on at Cairn Holy.
A continental contingent of classic cars and a visit to the 'Mill on the Fleet' at Gatehouse.
A very welcome Ice Cream at Rainton....
....was followed by a relaxed exploration of Carrick Shore.
It's a nice afternoon in Kirkcudbright.
The sign on the front door read, "We are not a shop,we just like cats".Lovely..
There's lots of plaques and information boards around Kirkcudbright. The lady living here has a daughter in England in a village where I used to work.
The first was an enquiry about a farm near Kirkcolm....answered by a man living five miles away from my friends in England.Another was a lorry driver who used to run between Scunthorpe and Galloway, and another was an Irish priest.Small world indeed.
The Jaguar I had the pleasure of being chauffeured around in over the weekend. It's been a lovely weekend. Thanks for coming up folks.

Well what do you know - you were in the same place at the same time as me. The picture of Georgina (big purple dress) playing the tea chest base has just missed me by a couple of feet (I was sitting at the first table of the next door pub - though secretly eating the Waterfronts food)
