A Snowy Walk in South West Scotland
Sunday the 24th of March 2013. It's stopped snowing and the sun is out. This is a photo story of a walk I took showing snowdrifts, animal tracks, the Galloway Hills, sheep and lambs and a couple of birds.
Music from http://archive.org. Piano Concerto No.21 In C Major Elvira Madigan and Sentimental Medley. Album ALANSARI ZAIN Piano 919, available from http://archive.org/details/b9rh.com_2111
Update.
N.B I've a feeling that the first piece of music is actually Elvira Madigan by Richard Clayderman. If it is a middle eastern artiste Alansari Zain then it's a note perfect copy.

Very well presented Jim the music set the tone of the video nicely. The real damage seems to have been caused by the bitter east wind looking at the snow drifts.Good to know you are safe and well.
ReplyDeleteJim, sheer brilliance and I so enjoyed one of my favourite concertos to the wonderful footage. Well done indeed!
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of advantages in living where it snows, just as long as the roads are clear. Snow gives photographers such wonderful opportunities and you have made the most of them lately Jim! Great when you can go home to a house with power on and can get warm again!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have had loads of snow down there Jim. Nothing left of it in Glasgow at all and the north west of Scotland missed it altogether. A lovely montage of images.
ReplyDeletewow!!! love this. the music adds to the beauty of the experience if that is possible.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gordon, I know that if you hadn't been indisposed you'd have been over on Arran helping those guys out.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, happy to oblige.I believe Queensland have plans for a ski resort Kooralbyn I wonder if it'll get built.I give you snow, and your blog warms me up.
Scoop, what can I say. You folks down the Mull have had it rough, I hope you're getting back to normal now. It's time that gulf stream got back to giving you some nice warm weather.
Thanks Bob, most of the main roads are clear now but there's no thawing. It snowed again today.
Thank you Annmarie, I agree the music adds to the video.
Fabulous photos, wonderful music Jim. Hope it is all getting somewhat back to normal for you.

ReplyDeleteThe snow has almost gone now Sandy. It sounds like we'll have a little respite before the rain arrives.
ReplyDeleteI've come across the Outlander Series Lynn, I wasn't sure what you meant at first till I discovered the first book was published as Cross Stitch here in the U.K.
Diana Gabaldon certainly did her research well.
